The Luxembourg Ministry of Social Economy has confirmed the non-profit status of Adhoc. This means that it is now officially recognised that housing projects and communal living – for example on the Réimerwee site of Adhoc – are in the public interest. They contribute to social, cost-saving and intergenerational living. And thus they are a counter-model to the current situation with rampant property speculation and the displacement of people who can no longer afford to pay rent and purchase prices in Luxembourg.
